Pinjarra is a family-owned centre with over 30 years of experience in providing quality care and education to children. Founded in 1988 by sisters Elizabeth and Margaret, both successful business owners (Elizabeth a Doctor and Margaret a Solicitor,) Pinjarra opened its first centre in Pymble for children aged four to six years. After two years, the centre expanded to Gordon, providing childcare for children aged six weeks to four years. We have seen the structure of our centres evolve over the years, to cater to the ever-changing needs of our community. Our centre is split into two branches; Pymble, which now caters for children aged three to six years, and Gordon, which caters for children aged six weeks to six years.

Collaboration
We believe in the power of collaboration. At Pinjarra our environment is where each child's voice is heard and responded to with respect. We recognise that each child has their own individual strengths and talents, and as such, we create child-led experiences and opportunities for them to explore and develop. Furthermore, we recognise the importance of families being involved in their child's learning, and we welcome them to contribute and participate in their learning.

We use play-based learning and intentional teaching to create an environment of open communication and connection. We also value spontaneous teachable moments. Our approach is based on the pillars of creating a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for our children to grow, learn, and thrive. We strive to create meaningful connections and a home away from home atmosphere for all of our children, their families and our Educator Team.
